MADE IN THE USA
It’s a catchy phrase for sure and not one I intentionally set out to use for the purposes of appealing to folk’s sense of patriotism or to help rebuild the American manufacturing dynasty – a farfetched notion considering our population has thoroughly evolved into thinking of work as sitting behind a computer all day. Anyway…
Where was I?
Oh yeah – the fact is (mostly by accident) these doors I make are as pure an American made product as you could find.
The Eastern White pine is grown and milled here.
The stains and polyurethane are American made products.
The screening is made in a plant in PA.
The dowels I use for the handle is American grown poplar.
Even the staples for the screens are made in the U.S.
And the doors are built and finished in that shop right up yonder as one might say here in the Southern USA.
So, if the thought of buying a product completely produced from American material by American Labor in America stirs your national spirit – this is your screen door.
Now I’ll stop before someone sees me using my Makita chop saw, sparking an ethical discussion that might bore people for a mile in every direction.
